As the second screening of the day dedicated to Arvo Kruusement, we bring to the screen something completely different and full of rhythm: the musical adventure comedy Don Juan in Tallinn (Don Juan Tallinnas, 1971).
The world-famous classic legend comes to life in medieval Tallinn in a completely new and unexpected key. A mysterious and irresistible Don Juan arrives in Tallinn, and the role is in fact played by a woman dressed as a man! What follows is a musical, rhythmic adventure full of intrigue, where love, jealousy, a wager and sword duels collide. It is a colourful and stylish period film that offers plenty of entertainment, great music and the joy of recognising the streets of Tallinn’s Old Town.
