Kai Cinema’s new series Kult Klassics kicks off on Halloween night! Once a month we bring a cult favourite back to the big screen, the kind of film best enjoyed with a crowd rather than alone on the couch.
First to rise from the grave is “Queen of the Damned” (2002): vampires, rock stars and early-2000s goth glamour at its finest. Based on Anne Rice’s novel, the film follows the vampire Lestat, who wakes from centuries of sleep and reinvents himself as a rock star. His music also awakens Akasha, the mother of all vampires, played by Aaliyah in her final role. All of it is set to a legendary nu-metal soundtrack.

Doors open at 19:00 with a welcome drink. The introduction and film begin at 20:00, and the bar stays open for an hour after the screening. Tickets on Fienta: early bird €10 until 20 October, then €12

Country: USA/Australia 2002
