A film about the Estonians’ favorite folk band Kukerpillid, which after half a century of activity undertakes to update its repertoire with pieces by contemporary composers. Maybe this will bring into being new folk songs, which years later everyone will know by heart again. The band’s spirited journey through the summer concert venues of Estonia, with interludes to its roots, would allow us to expect this.

The film is dedicated to all the singers and musicians who keep folk music alive.
